Footbridge over Yueliangwan Boulevard put into service

Nanshan students attending Qianhai Harbour School now have an easier and safer access to crossing Yueliangwan Boulevard after a new footbridge spanning over the infamously busy road was recently put into service.

Constructed by the Qianhai Construction and Investment Holding Group Co. Ltd., the footbridge is 93 meters long and 4.5 meters wide. There is an elevator installed on each side of the footbridge, illuminated with LED lights, provide pedestrians with more convenience.

Previously, students had to make a detour to either Guiwan Road 4 or Qianhai Boulevard to get to the school because of the Pingnan rail tracks. Now the students can directly reach the school through the footbridge.

The footbridge is one of the infrastructure projects to relieve traffic congestion in Qianhai. Eight other footbridges are under construction while others have been planned.
