Foreign investment information: Investment by a foreign entity in Qianhai may require the formal submission of a proposal. Such proposals are subject to approval by the Qianhai government.

COLLABORATION WITH CHAMBERS IN HONG KONG

In 2014 March to May, the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen (“Qianhai Authority”) signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (“HKGCC”), the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (“CGCC”), the Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (“CMA”) , the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (“FIHK”) and Hong Kong Industrial & Commercial Association (“HKICA”). Targeting the respective Hong Kong-invested and Asia and Africa Committee members of HKGCC, the Qianhai Authority held two seminars and facilitated communication between representatives from tens of enterprises. The Qianhai Authority also started a joint project with the Hong Kong Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society (“CGSE”), supporting the society and its establishment of "CGSE Qianhai Precious Metals Logistics Assay Centre", providing service and support for the upgrade of gold and jewellery producers in the Pearl River Delta.

COLLABORATION WITH THE HONG KONG SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARKS CORPORATION

On 25 November 2013, the Authority of Qianhai and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (“HKSTP”) officially signed the “Cooperative Agreement between the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen and the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation” to enhance communication and cooperation on the technology front between Qianhai and Hong Kong, to make raising international competitiveness a priority, to explore the possibility of establishing a science and technology innovation centre, deepen the integration of the technology industry and the finance industry, and to establish an international platform for recruiting talent and facilitating communication.

Introduction to Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation

The Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTPC”) is a statutory body set up by the Hong Kong SAR Government. It monitors Hong Kong Science Park, InnoCentre, and three industrial estates located in Tai Po, Yuen Long and Tseung Kwan O. It focuses on fields such as green technology, information and telecommunications, electronics, biotechnology, precision engineering and related functions such as technical support, professional services and science and technology business incubation. HKSTPC is a public technical platform with an IC Design Centre, a Solar Energy Technology Support Centre, a Material Analysis Laboratory and a Biotech Support Centre, bringing together the world’s top technology and outstanding professionals, enhancing cooperation between industries, science and technology developments, and achieving synergy.

Under the principles of 'Genuine Partnership, Mutual Benefits and Cooperative Development', The Authority of Qianhai and HKSTP established a strategic cooperative partnership to start a national base for creating modern service industry partners.
