The Tinghai-Qianhai Bridge that connects Qianhai and Bao’an opened for traffic yesterday morning, marking the thorough completion of Tinghai Boulevard.

The 110-meter bridge, also known as the No. 10 Landscape Bridge, extends northwards to the intersection of Hubin West Road and Haixiu Road in Bao’an District. Resembling the shape of a red ribbon, it is the third bridge extending over the water corridors along Tinghai Boulevard.

After the opening of the No.10 Landscape Bridge, Tinghai Boulevard become the first north-south trunk road connecting Qianhai’s Qianwan, Guiwan and Mawan areas with Bao’an District.

Motorists in Mawan now can reach Bao’an in 10 to 15 minutes. The opening of the bridge greatly relieves the traffic pressure on Menghai Boulevard and further enhances traffic connections between Qianhai and Bao’an.

In the near future, the transportation of Qianhai will become even more convenient after a number of other transportation infrastructures are completed, including the underground traffic lanes of Guiwan Road 1, Linhai Boulevard and Binhai Boulevard, and the Menghai-Qianwan Bridge. Those traffic facilities are slated to open for traffic this year.
