Representatives of 30 Hong Kong enterprises with intention to invest in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area attended an online forum Sept. 11 on the investment prospects and development potentials of Qianhai.

The forum was jointly hosted by the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority and the Hong Kong Cyberport, an innovative digital community with over 1,500 startups and high-tech companies.

The Hong Kong businesspeople said they have confidence in investing in Qianhai after learning at the online forum about the business environment and the preferential policies of the free trade area.

Staffers with the Qianhai authority briefed the audience on the policies that support Hong Kong and Macao youth in Qianhai, such as the internship opportunities, entrepreneurship subsidies and low-rent housing.

The audience also learned about the current operational status of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub and its “one-stop” incubation services for startups.

The owner of the Hong Kong-based accelerator Yadi Technology that last month set up its Shenzhen branch at the Qianhai Youth Entrepreneurship Community shared with the audience his experiences of working in Qianhai at the online forum.

The hosts and the enterprise representatives had an in-depth discussion on the enterprises’ financing needs, Qianhai’s favorable policies and supporting facilities, and the office rent in Qianhai.
