Applications are now open for the 20 types of subsidies that the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority offers to help enterprises get through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Enterprises that are in properties owned by the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority will have their office rent fees for February and March waived.

Enterprises that registered in Qianhai and have leased private properties (in Qianhai) will have 20 percent of the office rent for February and March subsidized by the authority. The subsidy for an enterprise is capped at 1.5 million yuan (US$212,000).

Enterprises will also be eligible for a subsidy of up to 30,000 yuan to compensate for anti-epidemic supplies such as masks, body temperature scanners and disinfectants they have purchased for work resumption. The amount of the subsidy is decided by the number of employees covered by the city’s social security program.

Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-funded enterprises in Qianhai that have resumed work and production will be reimbursed 50 percent of the social security premiums for employees in March. The maximum of the reimbursement for a single enterprise is 300,000 yuan.

Enterprises that have hired legal institutions, which are registered and operating in Qianhai, for legal services to control the legal risks and manage disputes related to the pandemic, will be eligible for a subsidy equivalent to 30 percent of the legal counseling fee, with a maximum of 60,000 yuan.

Up to 500,000 yuan in subsidy will be given to enterprises which have developed prevention and control products of COVID-19, including medicines, anti-epidemic materials, virus-detecting kits, vaccines and medical equipment that have been put into market.
