Qianhai seeks more cooperation with Russian enterprises

The 2nd Sino-Russian Medium and Small-sized Enterprises Forum was held in Sochi, Russia, Zhang Gaoli, Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the event. At the forum, Tian Fu, director of Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone Authority, delivered a speech and introduced the free trade zone and its current cooperation with Russian enterprises. Tian said Russian companies were welcomed to seek for opportunities in Qianhai.

Tian introduced that Shenzhen has made progresses in Sino-Russian cooperation. On May 6, the foundation laying ceremony of the first China-Russia cooperative university -- Shenzhen BIT-MSU University was held in Shenzhen. The university will attract talents from Russia to study in the city and will encourage interaction between the youth.

Tian also said that Qianhai’s Chinese contracted investment overseas amounted to US$4.113 billion and those invested in the regions along “the Belt and the Road” route reached US$3.394 billion.

“Qianhai will make efforts to complement each other's advantages in finance, market, human resources, technologies and more, realizing the win-win cooperation between Qianhai and Russian companies,” Tian added.

More than 30 Qianhai enterprises such as HSBC, Shenzhen Qianhai Financial Holdings and ZTEsoft attended the forum.

The delegation also participated in 15 other forums, exhibitions and B2B fairs.
