The cross-border e-commerce tracing service platform was officially launched Aug. 15 at Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone.
It promises to offer tracing services to customers so as to build a standard mechanism.
On the platform, users can scan the QR code of the product to learn the information such as the quality and logistics. To avoid counterfeit, a special made logo with Chinese characters “前海(Qianhai)” was made.
Customers can also make comments on the products and send them to a supervision system. The local quarantine and inspection authority will check those feedbacks and combat counterfeiting.
As of Aug. 11, a total of 21 e-commerce companies have offered the tracing services and 320,000 goods were attached with the QR code, which was the first tryout in China.
