Shenzhen Party Chief and Mayor Xu Qin recently said that over 2,000 Hong Kong enterprises were estimated to settle in Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone in 2017.
He also that Shenzhen will continue to cooperate with Hong Kong under the “One country, two systems” and Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation frames. Xu said that the Shenzhen- Hong Kong cooperation and development contract of Lok Ma Chau Loop had just been signed on the very first working day in 2017. The area is planned to be a technology innovation base. He also said that 2017 is the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s Handover, which gives more significance to the cooperation with Hong Kong.
