Shenzhen Airlines’ brand-new A321neo aircraft landed recently at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. It is the airline’s second aircraft introduced through financial leasing.

The first of such aircraft was delivered in December last year. The aircraft’s lessor is a leasing company established in Qianhai.

The aircraft leasing business is dubbed as the “pearl in the crown” of the financial leasing industry, which is highly professional, involves a wide range of areas and relies on tangible government policy support.

The aircraft leasing business plays a role in the local economy’s new economic growth point in terms of import and export trade volume, fixed asset investment, tax contribution, deposit and loan balance, and added value of the financial industry. At the same time, the coordinated development of the aviation and aircraft leasing industries will also help the city build an international air transport center and a first-class international aviation hub in Asia.

Leveraging the opportunities brought by Qianhai’s geographical expansion and the policy advantages of the Qianhai Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Qianhai has not only joined hands with foreign exchange, customs, taxation, industry and commerce authorities to promote the development of the aircraft bonded leasing business, but also found a new way to serve the real economy through financial leasing. Currently, Qianhai is continuing to strengthen its support to enterprises and to promote the deep integration of finance and local industries.

Qianhai aims to build an agglomeration area for the quality development of financial leasing, and it has introduced a number of leasing companies covering a wide range of business scopes, including aircraft, ships, marine engineering equipment, green energy, medical equipment and vehicles. A market structure with rich industry levels and a complete industrial chain is taking shape in Qianhai.
