PKU, Cambridge to open joint research institute in Qianhai

Shenzhen Qianhai Sino-British Research Institute, a high-end education and scientific research platform jointly operated by Peking University (PKU) and the University of Cambridge, integrating top-notch higher education resources in China and the U.K., will open this November.

The research institute, located in the Qianhai International Talent Hub, covers a floor area of 4,560 square meters and is now undergoing indoor decoration.

PKU and Cambridge will rely on their academic resources and faculty advantages to carry out international postgraduate training and high-end in-job training and education in Qianhai, to elevate the internationalization level of higher education and promote international exchanges and cooperation in Qianhai.

In the future, Shenzhen Qianhai Sino-British Research Institute will also introduce scientific and technological strengths of other Chinese and British higher learning institutions to make full use of Qianhai’s technical innovation environment and mechanism advantage in accelerating the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements.
