Construction on the Linhai Guiwan River Bridge (No.5 Landscape Bridge) entered the phase of main bridge steel box girder erection on May 31, marked by the successful installation of a section of a steel box girder 17.1 meters long, 5.2 meters wide, and 1.9 meters high.

The 493-meter-long north-south bridge starts from the intersection of Linhai Boulevard and Qianhai Boulevard and ends at the intersection of Linhai and Haibin boulevards. It spans the Guiwan River corridor and is a livelihood project in the central area of Qianhai. The bridge construction is expected to be completed by late 2023, which will then further improve the transportation network and optimize the urban and business environment of Qianhai.

The Linhai Guiwan River Bridge utilizes 27 pairs of high vanadium sealed steel wire ropes, and is the first use nationwide of this construction technique for a vehicular bridge. The steel wire ropes have features of a large area ratio, a large elastic modulus and strong self-locking performance capabilities. The tightness between the steel wires is good, and the wires are not easily broken during use. At the same time, its anti-corrosion performance is good; no additional protective cover is required. The vanadium cover can also directly reflect the original metal texture of the steel wire ropes, thus adding a sense of beauty to the entire bridge under the reflection of sunlight.

The bridge is invested by the Qianhai Construction and Investment Holdings Group and is being constructed by the China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group.
