HK, Macao youth celebrate Lantern Festival in Qianhai

More than 100 young people from Hong Kong, Macao and the Chinese mainland gathered Tuesday at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E-hub) to celebrate the Lantern Festival.

The event was jointly organized by E-hub, Bayslife and Bay Power. Eating tangyuan in the north of China, or glutinous rice balls in the south of China, is an important custom of the Lantern Festival.The Bayslife cafe prepared glutinous rice balls in flavors of sesame, peanut and walnut for each participant to convey the blessings of family reunion.

At the vestibule of Bay Power, a total of 100 lantern riddles attracted the attention of the young people. The content of the riddles included references to Chinese idioms, geographic names and personal names. Everyone participated in the guessing part with joy and the smart minds received exquisite gifts at the site.
