Plan for metro line connecting Qianhai and Longgang unveiled

The city’s planning and natural resources bureau unveiled the route draft for Metro Line 21, which is seeking public suggestions.

Line 21 will connect Qianhai’s Mawan area with Pingdi in Longgang District. The 66-kilometer railway will bring the west-east travel between Qianhai and Longgang to 45 minutes. The line might also be extended to Huizhou in the near future.

According to the draft plan, the line will have 26 stations, including Qianhai Comprehensive Bonded Zone Station, Mawan Station, Liyumen Station, Bantian South Station, Dayun North Station, Longcheng Station, and more. The line is designed with a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
