Twelve Hong Kong and Macao interns who are working in Qianhai have joined a one-to-one mentoring program launched by the Qianhai authority.

The 12 mentors from Hong Kong and Macao have been working on the Chinese mainland for more than three years and they are employees of several Qianhai-based enterprises, including Ernst & Young, PT Design and Hongta Hotland Asset Management Co., Ltd.

Through the program, the mentors introduce to the interns the industrial development trend, the job market and the workplace culture on the mainland, so as to help these Hong Kong and Macao youths improve professional and comprehensive qualities, make career planning, and better understand and integrate into the working and living environments of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Hong Kong intern Chan Hung-yip said: “Through the program, I’ve learned a lot of useful information and suggestion from my mentor. I can also contact my mentor when I have questions in the future, which is very helpful.”

The mentors will also learn about the interns’ understanding on the industrial development, evaluate if they are competent at their current job, get to know their job preference, and recommend job opportunities to them in the future.
