Qianhai national Internet exchange point in trial operation

The National (Qianhai, Shenzhen) New-type Internet Exchange Point, the city’s first national infrastructure in the field of information and communication, was put into trial operation June 30.

Inaugurated on April 14 this year, it is one of the three exchange points in China approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in December last year, and is expected to improve the city’s Internet connection efficiency.

The Internet exchange point in Qianhai consists of an operation platform, a comprehensive management and quality monitoring platform, and a security platform. The communications authority can realize remote real-time monitoring and management on the exchange point through a supervisory platform to provide support and guidance.

Through the operation of the Internet exchange point, Qianhai aims to promote the agglomeration of the Internet industries, improve the Internet connection of Shenzhen and help with the upgrading and transformation of the city’s information industry.

In addition, the Internet exchange point also serves as a platform to explore the creating of duplicable experiences suitable for the continuing reform and innovation of the country’s Internet architecture and is expected to become an important information platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
