Online non-criminal record notarization available in Qianhai

A resident surnamed Xu recently received a notarized certificate of her non-criminal record after submitting an online notarization application to the Qianhai Notary Office.

The service was recently launched by the Qianhai Notary Office to provide more convenience to citizens. After receiving Xu’s application, the notary office verified relevant information and issued a letter of notarization to Xu by post.

Xu said the new service saved her a lot of time as she didn’t have to go to the notary office to submit the application materials and collect the notarization certificate.

On May 19, 2021, the State Council reviewed and approved Opinions on Optimizing Notary Services for the Convenience of Enterprises and the Public, which require the notary service efficiency to be fully improved nationwide by the end of this year and all notary services are available online without any geographic restrictions on the applications.
