HK voices on Qianhai development heard at symposium

Zhang Yong, director of the Qianhai Authority, at a June 25th meeting with representatives of Hong Kong institutions and enterprises pledged to offer better, more efficient services to the Hong Kong-funded enterprises in Qianhai.

Zhang spoke highly of the Qianhai-based Hong Kong enterprises, saying that they’ve played an important role in enhancing Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation, while pushing ahead the integrating development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Delegates from the Hong Kong Development Bureau, the Liaison Office of Hong Kong S.A.R Government in Shenzhen, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the City University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong Institute of Planners put forward at the meeting various kinds of proposals on converging Hong Kong rules and mechanisms, optimizing business environments, facilitating Hong Kong professionals’ work in Qianhai and creating a Hong Konger-friendly living environment.

The corporate delegates came from the finance, modern logistics, information service, technology service and professional service industries. Some of the delegates attended the symposium through video conferencing.

Zhang said Qianhai will introduce more regulations and policies to manage Hong Kong-funded enterprises and individuals working in the free trade area. He said more supporting facilities for Hong Kong enterprises will be built.
