Platforms inaugurated to boost SZ-HK cooperation

Two platforms were inaugurated in Shenzhen and Hong Kong simultaneously through video conferencing June 10 to help deepen Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The GoGBA one-stop platform is initiated by Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to offer consulting and training services to Hong Kong small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and connect them with potential business partners in the GBA by organizing online and offline activities.

The GoGBA services are available on its WeChat public account and its mini program, on which the latest preferential policies and market information are provided. Eligible Hong Kongers and enterprises can apply for related industrial subsidies offered by GBA cities, register businesses and declare personal income tax on the digital platform of the GoGBA.

It was unveiled at the inauguration ceremony that the Shenzhen city government will also host various kinds of exchanges on financial services, cross-border e-commerce, culture and tourism on the GoGBA platform as it seeks to create a better business environment for Hong Kong businesses in Shenzhen.

At the same time, the HKTDC GBA Center was inaugurated in Shenzhen. Upgraded from the HKTDC representative office in Shenzhen, the GBA center adopts an appointment system to provide services for Hong Kong enterprises in Shenzhen.

It is expected to play an important role in attracting more Hong Kong enterprises to tap the mainland market during the construction of the GBA.
