Fifteen delegates of 13 Hong Kong institutions and enterprises put forward some 40 opinions and suggestions on the improvement of public services in Qianhai at a symposium June 2.

Most of the suggestions concerned issues such as the supportive policies for Hong Kongers working and living in Qianhai, the registration procedures for Hong Kong companies, the urban management and the rule-of-law construction.

Liu Guilin, vice director of the Qianhai authority, told the delegates that Qianhai is committed to help deepen cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and pursuing high-level opening up while serving as the core engine of the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

According to Liu, Qianhai has sped up the construction of various public service facilities, including a food plaza serving Hong Kong tastes and the Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Legal Affairs Zone, which is aimed to provide convenience for Hong Kong and Macao residents in Qianhai.

The symposium was attended by delegates of the Institution of Dining Art, the Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations, the Kerry Properties and the China Commercial Lam Lee Lai Lawyers, as well as the urban management division, the Hong Kong service office, the legal construction division and the enterprise service center of the Qianhai authority.
