Construction starts on main structure of Qianhai information hub

Construction recently started on the main structure of the Qianhai Information Hub Building, which will be the first super high-rise information hub in the country after completion in 2022.

A landmark project of Qianhai’s new-type infrastructure construction, the 21-floor information hub will provide a total floor area of 68,700 square meters. It is developed by the Qianhai Construction and Investment Holdings Co. Ltd. with a total investment of 918.98 million yuan (US$140.82 million).

Unlike the traditional low-rise data centers in the country, the Qianhai information hub will be 112 meters high, integrating information resources and big data technology. The information hub will serve as the command headquarters of the construction of a smart city and digital Qianhai, and provide support for the agglomeration and development of the Internet industry in Qianhai.
