Qianhai recruitment tour attractive to HK, Macao and Taiwan youths

Some 22 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan studying on the Chinese mainland have signed employment agreements with several Qianhai enterprises that were recruiting at six universities from March 26 to April 2.

They were among a total of 312 students form Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who had submitted their resumés to the 49 Qinahai-registered enterprises on a recruitment tour organized by the Qianhai authority to Shenzhen University, Jinan University and Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, Huaqiao University and Xiamen University in Fujian Province, as well as Peking University in Beijing.

Some 500 jobs and 347 internship opportunities offered by the 49 enterprises attracted 2,483 students to the recruitment events, with another 10,000 students participating online. The enterprises have received 4,715 resumés.

The university recruitment tour is part of the monthly recruitment program for young people from Hong Kong and Macao that Qianhai started earlier this year. Each month, more than 100 jobs are offered to young people from Hong Kong and Macao.

In addition, the Qianhai authority is also planning to roll out more favorable policies to attract more talents from Hong Kong and Macao to work in Qianhai. Qianhai has accelerated the construction of an international talent hub, which is expected to attract talents in different fields as well as other resources to the free trade area for employment, entrepreneurship, investment and life.
