49 Qianhai key enterprises recruit talents at Jinan University

Nearly 1,000 resumés have been collected by the Qianhai enterprises at a job fair in Guangzhou organized by the Qianhai authority March 26.

The job fair was attended by some 49 Qinahai-registered key enterprises including Tencent, SF Express and KPMG, which offered about 500 vacancies at the two campuses of JNU. The recruitment session attracted 1,856 JNU students, and another 2,500 students participated online.

At the event held at the Tianhe District campus of JNU, a senior official with the Qianhai authority briefed attendees on Qianhai’s strategic mission for Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation, its general development status, talent-oriented policy, and exclusive supportive policies for young people from Hong Kong and Macao. Eleven enterprise representatives also introduced their companies and job vacancies to the students.

JNU is known in the country for its large number of students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The event is the first of a series of recruitment events Qianhai has planned for young people from Hong Kong and Macao. Other recruitment events will be held at universities such as Huaqiao University, Peking University, Sun Yat-sen University and Shenzhen University, to attract more Hong Kong and Macao youths to work in Qianhai.

The Qianhai authority released a monthly recruitment plan earlier this year, which identified 433 jobs that have been offered by 35 Qianhai enterprises to young people from Hong Kong and Macao. The enterprises have received around 2,000 resumés and signed employment agreements with 21 young people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
