- ‘Girls’ Day’ held at E-hub to mark Intl. Women’s Day

A “Girls’ Day” event was held at Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Entrepreneurship Hub (E-hub) Friday morning for Hong Kong female entrepreneurs and staff of enterprises and startups there to mark the upcoming International Women’s Day.
An all-women’s organization was inaugurated at the event, jointly hosted by the E-hub and the Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (YIE), to serve as an exchange and social networking platform for women entrepreneurs and female staff of enterprises and startups at the E-hub who came to Qianhai for career development.
Cheng Si-yi, from Hong Kong who is CFO of the YIE, said at the event that women have nowadays become an increasingly important part in the entrepreneurship scene in the greater bay area although they face more pressure, such as on balancing work and family, when starting a new business. She pledged more supports for career women and said the organization serves the purpose of exchanges and building social connections for them.
Three workshops on baking cupcakes and cookies, as well as making cup mats were also organized at the event for the participants, who said they had fun at the workshops.
