- Qianhai, CMG, Taiping Bay join hands for development

Qianhai signed two strategic partnership framework agreements with China Merchants Group (CMG) and the Taiping Bay Cooperation and Innovation Zone in Dalian, Liaoning Province, on Dec. 7.
Under the agreement, Qianhai will work with the Shekou-based CMG to implement the development strategy of “With Hong Kong, For the Mainland, To the world” while strengthening the industrial cooperation between the two parties.
At the signing ceremony, Huang Min, chief of the Party committee of the Qianhai authority, said CMG has been an important partner of Qianhai in pursuing quality development through Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and implementing the Belt and Road Initiative. “The signing of the agreement marks a new chapter of cooperation between Qianhai and CMG to jointly integrating Hong Kong into the country’s general development plan,” Huang said.
Dalian Vice Mayor Jin Guowei said that they aim to introduce Qianhai’s valuable experiences in innovation and reform to the development of Taiping Bay Cooperation and Innovation Zone through the cooperation with Qianhai.
The Taiping Bay Cooperation and Innovation Zone is a brand new platform jointly developed by CMG and the Dalian Municipal Government. Its establishment is a strategic move for Dalian to implement the national strategies of opening up and revitalizing the old industrial base in Northeast China.
