5 new bus lines, 23 bus stations open in Qianhai

Five new bus lines and 23 bus stations were put into service after a ceremony held at the Guiwan River Bus Terminal Tuesday afternoon.

The five lines will provide shuttle services between the Metro stations and the three areas of Qianwan, Guiwan and Mawan.

Peak Hour Line 156, which connects Guiwan, Qianwan and Mawan, has shortened its departure intervals and extended its service hours to 10:30 p.m. Bus Line B990 will connect Qianwan Station, an interchange station for Metro lines 5 and 9, to the Qianhai Kerry Center and Qianhai Justice Center. Bus Line B991 will provide transportation for citizens near the Marine Shipping Center in Mawan to the Railway Park Station of Metro Line 5.

Dai Bin, chairman of the Shenzhen Bus Group, said at the ceremony that the group will cooperate with the Qianhai authority to provide more diversified and intelligent bus services to Qianhai residents.

So far, Qianhai has 22 bus lines covering all the constructed areas and rail traffic stations.

In the near future, several new bus express lines that connect Qianhai with the Shekou Cruise Homeport, the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and the Shenzhen North Railway Station will be opened.

In addition, the Shenzhen Bus Group is also planning bus services between Qianhai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
