- Craftsman contest solicits skilled electricians

Eight electricians stood out among their peers in the preliminary of the Qianhai Craftsman Contest to advance to the next round of the competition.
Over 50 electricians participated in the preliminary, which was held at the Qianhai Youth Entrepreneurship Community on Nov. 3.
Chen Jiahua, a senior electrician and lecturer of the Guangdong Provincial Association of Construction Education, introduced some electricity installation techniques and knowledge to the electricians to help them understand the creativity and diversity of the work.
Chen also demonstrated the key points of first aid when electric shock occurs. Two contestants were invited to get hand-on experience on correct first aid exercise.
The contest is hosted by the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority, aiming to provide a competition stage for front-line workers, carry forward the craftsmen spirit of Qianhai, and cultivate skilled talents for the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
