- Lecture on Chinese folk performing art held in Qianhai

A lecture on Chinese folk performing art was held at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub Friday evening.
The lecture was delivered by Jiang Kun, chairman of the Chinese Ballad Singers Association.
Jiang shared with the audience his stories of being a folk artist for the past 50 years and the charm of Chinese folk art varieties.
“It is important to stay connected with the people to produce quality art works,” he said.
Jiang said he had visited Qianhai for a few times before the lecture and felt at home away from home in the free trade area. He said he was amazed by the rapid development in Qianhai.
The lecture was part of a cultural series hosted by the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority to promote Qianhai’s cultural and art development.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and the 10th anniversary of Qianhai. More cultural events will be organized in Qianhai to create a rich cultural scene of the Chinese traditional culture for the public.
