New talent apartments to be up for rent this year

Some 364 apartments in Shenzhen Bay High-tech Eco Park in Nanshan District will be up for rent to qualified individuals working for Qianhai-registered enterprises this year, announced at an inspection tour by Qianhai officials April 10.

The apartments, in Block C of Building 1 of the talent housing project in Shenzhen Bay High-tech Eco Park, have been under interior decoration since September 2019, according to Wen Jiaming, general manager of Shenzhen Qianhai Talent Leju Co. Ltd. It is a subsidiary of Qianhai Development Investment Holdings Co. Ltd. responsible for the investment and management of the talent housing projects in the free trade area.

Wen said the apartments will be incorporated into Qianhai’s talent housing system upon completion. They will be rented to qualified employees working in Qianhai.

Although the apartments, ranging from 30 to 71 square meters in sizes, are 5.6 kilometers from Qianhai, they are ideally situated with convenient public transportation.

Located at the intersection of Baishi Road and Shahe West Road, the project has easy access to Keyuan Station of Metro Line 2 in the south and High-tech South Station of Metro Line 9 in the north. It takes less than 30 minutes by Metro to get to Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation Center.

The project is expected to help ease the housing shortage in Qianhai as it continues to attract more high-end talents to work in the free trade area.

During the inspection tour, face masks, hand sanitizer, preventive gloves and other anti-virus gear had been handed out to the workers at the project.
