Meeting convened on virus prevention and control in Qianhai

The third meeting on the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak was held in Qianhai Friday afternoon, conveying the higher authorities instructions regarding virus prevention and control.


Tian Fu, director of the Authority of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qianhai and Shekou Area, stressed that relevant personnel should raise their awareness of the outbreak prevention, and implement their duties by adhering to scientific measures and policies.


“Our working mechanism should be further improved and the manager system(a measure that has been taken temporarily to cope with the recent coronavirus outbreak: by appointing area and building mangers and information registration personnel to maintain the order and safety) should be brought into full play. We should optimize the organizational structure of the virus prevention and control and clarify the responsibilities of each position,” said Tian. “Intensive attention and supervision should be paid on those who have returned to Qianhai from areas hit hard by the virus,” Tian added.


Tian also said that the development and opening up of Qianhai should also be carried out in its usual orderly fashion throughout the virus prevention period. The Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority will assist enterprises in the area to resume normal operation in accordance with the time and conditions proposed by the municipal government.


Members of the leading group of the Party Working Committee of Qianhai Cooperation Zone and staff members with the departments of Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority attended the meeting.
