The fifth meeting on COVID-19 prevention convened in Qianhai

The fifth meeting on the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak was held in Qianhai Sunday afternoon, conveying the higher authorities instructions on anti-virus efforts and formulating measures toward resuming work and production.


Tian Fu, director of the Authority of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qianhai and Shekou Area, stressed that resuming work and production and preventing the epidemic are two major tasks of equal importance.


“The current situation of epidemic prevention and control is still complicated and tough. We must remain firm and unswerving to win this fight against the virus,” said Tian.


According to Tian, a “one-on-one” service mechanism（one appointed liaison officer by the Qianhai Authority for each enterprise）should be established for key enterprises and major projects in the area to support and guide the enterprises through the process of resuming work and production while relevant personnel should help address the difficulties faced by enterprises in operations. Human resources should also be allocated and optimized, and medical supplies for relevant personnel should be guaranteed.


Tian also said that Party members play a pioneering and exemplary role in fulfilling their duties, so as to win this epidemic fight.


At the same time, key annual tasks such as the construction of major projects should carry on to make new breakthroughs in the development and opening up of Qianhai.
