A series of virus prevention and control measures have been implemented in Qianhai in response to the recent outbreak of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) to ensure the safety of employees and residents in the area.

The Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority has strengthened its cooperation with the city’s leading groups and Nanshan District Government to draw up a population distribution map of Qianhai for the compilation of a map for virus emergency response.

The management of key venues has been optimized to respond to the health crisis. The Qianhai Exhibition Hall, Qianhai Justice Center and Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E-hub) have suspended public services. The Electronic One-stop Service Center of Qianhai, Qianhai Stone Park and public canteens in Qianhai will undergo daily disinfection. Currently, one large disinfectant sprayer and six small sprayers are operating in Qinahai.

Major conferences and events that were originally scheduled at Qianhai Enterprise Dream Park and E-hub have been cancelled or postponed.

Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority has also installed an infrared body temperature scanner at the main entrance of its office building. People entering or leaving the building must accept body temperature screenings and disinfection.

E-hub has issued a notice asking all units and entrepreneurial teams to follow the provincial government’s order not to resume work until 12:00 p.m. on Feb. 9, to promptly report personnel who recently return to Shenzhen from their hometown, and to strengthen quarantine inspection and health protection measures.

Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Fund Town has executed a thorough disinfection of the park's public corridors, elevator foyers, fire passages, escalators, door handles, toilets and wash basins. In addition, in order to prevent excessive waste of disposed face masks during this period, the park has also installed five special trash bins for the item’s collection and disposal.

Construction sites including Qianhai Harrow School have also implemented emergency operations to fight against the virus outbreak. Three temperature monitoring sites have been set up. Workers must undergo body temperature checks three times a day (morning, afternoon and evening). Ethanol disinfection, face masks and personnel registration books are available at each of the three monitoring sites.

In order to further prevent cross-infection, the Electronic One-stop Service Center of Qianhai has issued a notice recommending that citizens apply for all government services online. At the same time, the center is also providing free license delivery services. Citizens can call the hotline at 0755-36868666 during office hours for a consultation.

The Qianhai Notary Office has also advised the public to consult and apply for notary services online. In addition, 12 notaries have made public their personal WeChat IDs, allowing citizens to book a one-on-one consultation with a notary via WeChat.

The Qianhai Court issued a notice stating if the parties or litigants are unable to participate in trials due to medical treatment, quarantine or halted traffic caused by the novel coronavirus, they can apply for an extension.
