The Sixth Annual Conference of Shenzhen-Hong Kong (Qianhai) Talents Cooperation was held in the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Fund Town yesterday morning, attracting a 200-strong audience.

During the conference, leaders of governmental departments, experts and scholars in the field of immigration research, and representatives of human resources service agencies and well-known enterprises discussed how Qianhai can play the role of a pilot zone of national talent management reform, take the lead in exploring and establishing a skilled immigration system, and contribute to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Zhang Lin, director of the municipal talent work bureau, said that in recent years, Shenzhen has been insisting on the talent-driven innovation strategy during urban development through innovating the talent system and gathering global talents. So far this year, the city has attracted eight full-time academicians and more than 2,300 high-level talents to settle.

Wang Jinxia, deputy director of the Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority, said that through the in-depth academic discussions, the conference is a significant way for Qianhai to assist the city, the Greater Bay Area and the country in gathering various types of talents at a higher level, with a broader vision and at a larger scale, so as to create a world-class environment for the development of talents.

At the conference, the Authority of Qianhai issued 20 official measures aimed at building a multi-level talent policy system, promoting the construction of the demonstration zone of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao talent cooperation, creating a desirable environment for the development and employment of talents, and innovating an international talent management system.

The Qianhai International Human Resources Service Industrial Park, which was initiated by the Authority of Qianhai, was also inaugurated at the event and will be constructed by the Qianhai International Talent Service Center. It is an important measure for Qianhai to speed up the construction of a demonstration zone of talent cooperation and promote the internationalization of the city’s human resources service industry.

The park will introduce international high-end human resources service companies and use the internationally accepted talent selection mechanism to create a talent gathering area with international competitiveness and provide intellectual support for the social and economic development of Qianhai and the Greater Bay Area.
