2020 New Year concert staged in Qianhai

The 2020 Greater Bay Area New Year Concert was staged at Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub yesterday afternoon, demonstrating the positive mental outlook of Shenzhen residents during the construction of the Greater Bay Area and the pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Many well-known musical artists from the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao were invited to give a high-profile performance for the audience.

The concert consisted of four chapters: "Forging Ahead in the New Era,""Building Dreams in Greater Bay Area,"" Sailing Again" and "A New Start of Qianhai."

The performance kicked off with the classical symphony "Ode to the Red Flag" and ended with the song “Ode to the Motherland.” Other classical songs like “The Story of Spring,” “O Sole Mio,” and “Pearl of the Orient” were also staged at the event.

The concert profoundly demonstrated the development, reform and innovation of the Greater Bay Area, promoted the traditional culture of China, and spread the core values of socialism. It also played a positive role in publicizing the Greater Bay Area and assisting the construction of the area.

Jiang Kun, chairman of Chinese Ballad Singers Association, and Meng Dapeng, a national first-grade conductor, served as the artistic directors. Xin Shaoying, a famous director from CCTV, served as the chief director of the concert.

The event was jointly launched by China Media Group, the Publicity Department of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC, the Authority of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qianhai & Shekou Area and the Shenzhen Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority.

The concert will be broadcast on new media platforms like www.cnr.cn and CNR News App during the Spring Festival.
