The Dream Factory of China

　　In recent years, China has experienced rapid developments in both its economy and society leading to quickly-emerging, rising industries. Located in Shenzhen and adjacent to Hong Kong, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone (hereafter ‘Qianhai’) is a uniquely important special economic zone that possesses infinite potential on the basis of its distinctive attributes. Qianhai has seized the spotlight on the strength of compelling concepts such as free-trade zones and ‘one road, one belt’ and ‘gulf economy’.

　　The youth carry forward our dreams and future, and they should be encouraged to actively explore opportunities of all kinds. Ideally, they will understand Qianhai’s future development and particularly the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (hereafter ‘E-Hub’), established on 7 December 2014. In fact, a great many young people have made detailed inquiries about joining the Hub given it is highly conducive for youth from Shenzhen and Hong Kong to start their business. In addition to the regular preferential policies applicable to Qianhai, the Authority of Qianhai has provided E-Hub with comprehensive support, including venture capital, office equipment and inquiry services, hoping to bring to the region vast potential and groundbreaking innovation.

　　For these reasons, various organizations have led students to visit Qianhai under the support of the Authority of Qianhai. These include Qianhai study mission for more than 1,000 local high school students starting from January 2015 led by the Education Bureau, Hong Kong SAR; “Going to Qianhai” visit co-organized by the The Y.Elites Association Limited and Hong Kong United Youth Association for about 2,000 university and tertiary students.

　　Students who have visited Qianhai were pleased with the reception arrangements. It is believed that, after these visits, Hong Kong youth can look confidently towards the future, find their place in the country’s historic rapid development, and seize infinite opportunities through Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaboration.
