QR codes that contain the information of products’ origin, test reports, customs clearance and more have been added onto the surfaces of imported luxury goods, which is another innovative measure carried out by the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone.
The QR codes were created by Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and were first put on the imported wines that cleared in Qianhai.
To bring conveniences to customers and the regulators, the bureau worked with a luxury goods dealer in Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone, combing the QR code tracing function with anti-counterfeiting technology.
Customers can scan the QR codes to know the detailed information and even make comments on the products. The feedbacks will be sent to the bureau and the substandard goods will be recalled or destructed.
The bureau plans to stick QR codes on all the products imported from Qianhai.
