Expat talents who work in Qianhai Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone are entitled to a series of preferential policies, according to the Suggestions on Promoting the Development of Talents of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone that was released recently.
The favorable policies include offering 5-year “F” visas and 1-year “M” visas to expat talents and those foreign nationals who conducts business in Qianhai. They can also have their working permits and residence permits extended to five years. In addition, their spouses and minor children can enjoy the same stay. All they have to do is to bring their “talent certificates” and the related documents such as proofs of the invitations from the authority or their employers, “talent” certificates and work certificates.
Children of those talents are also entitled to the same education opportunity as the locals do.
The foreign professionals can also apply provincial projects through their employers and be the main project participants.
The Chinese “F” visa is issued to those foreign nationals who will pay a visit or have exchanges in China. The Chinese “M” visa is issued to those foreign nationals who will conduct business in China. The validity of visas can last at least six months.
