Two Braun’s hair dryer, which were produced by a German company, were cleared at Qianhai Bay Bonded Port Area on June 22. They are among the 202 hair dryers that have been imported into Qianhai via cross-border e-commerce without the China Compulsory Certification (CCC). These products are worth 34,000 yuan. They will be put on sale on an online e-commerce platform after a spot check conducted by Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

After the implementation of the new e-commerce policy, a part of the products in “Production Catalogue of Products With China Compulsory Certification (CCC catalogue)” are on the cross-border e-commerce positive list.

Soon after the implementation, the city has released the “Processing Methods for Exemption from China Compulsory Certification for Small-batch Imports via Cross-border E-commerce in Shenzhen (pilot edition),” which aims to offer a fast channel for small-batch imports.

According to the new regulation, eligible cross-border e-commerce companies are required to apply for the permission of imports without CCC and then send the products for test. A related permission document will be issued once they pass the test. And the qualified products will be examined again before putting on sale.
