On Sept. 2 the first parallel imported car filled status and was cleared at the customs at the Qianhai Bay Bonded Port Area, marking the beginning forof having parallel imported car importss under bond, exhibited and transacted at Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone.
The car was among another 200 cars that were granted by the Ministry of Commerce on Sept.1 to be transported from Dachanwan Port to the bonded area. They were stored in the area and will enjoy a three-month-extension for filling.
According to the Qianhai Authority, the municipal government and Shenzhen Customs have speed up the implementation of the related directory suggestions made by the central government and offered storage services to import enterprises.
Currently, the city’s Huanggang Checkpoint and Dachanwan Port are allowed to accept imported cars, but none of them were administrated by the FTA. To break the bottleneck, the Dachanwan Pork now works with the bonded area, offering a coconvenient option force to local merchants.
