According to Zhang Dexi, director general of The Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society Shenzhen Qianhai, the warehouse that borrowed from ICBC in Qianhai will be used in January or February. It will provide a space to store over 100 tons of gold. The warehouse will be used until the new one is built two or three years later and the storage will reach 1,500 tons.
Zhang said that the precious metal warehouse in Qianhai is expected to meet the demand of local business and to promote the product flow between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
