According to the latest data, the tax revenue of Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone in 2016 increased by 29.3 percent, which ranked the first among other places in Guangdong Province.
There were 120,000 enterprises settled in the FTZ and generated a revenue of 17.35 billion yuan, up 29.3 percent from 2016.
The tax revenue generated by both Futian and Qianhai bonded areas reached 2.34 billion yuan, up 21 percent from last year.
In total the city has received 247.39 billion yuan of tax revenue last year. Its growth rate was the second in the nation.
