The recent statistic shows that Qianhai-Shekou Pilot Free Trade Zone has made 570 million yuan of tax reliefs for its enterprises in 2016. 290 million yuan of tax has been relieved under the low tax rate policy for enterprises, 61 million of income tax was given back to talents and 12.89 million yuan of tax was relieved for small companies.
The FTZ has lead the development of the FTZs in Guangdong in 2016, with highest local tax growth rate of 30.8 percent. There were 24 enterprises that each contributed more than 100 million yuan of tax, and the modern services industry covers over 80 percent of the total tax income.
