According to the data release in 2016, there were 3,363 foreign-funded companies that have settled in Qianhai, accounting for 55 percent of the new-added foreign-owned enterprises in the city.
Among those enterprises, a total of 1,894 companies were from Hong Kong, making the number of Qianhai’s Hong Kong enterprises reach 4,223.
The total added value of those Hong Kong enterprises account for 28 percent of the total.
The report also says that over 85,000 companies registered in Nanshan, making the district rank the first in Shenzhen.
