One of Qianhai’s startup teams signed a contract with Silicon Valley’s leading incubator, Founders Space, on Wednesday in Qianhai, aiming to accelerate the development of its products and enter the market more easily.

Hong Kong Tesla Technology Ltd., which has been supported by both the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub and the Hong Kong Young Professionals Alliance, is currently working on developing a system and a computer that can be used by dogs to better communicate with humans.

According to the contract, it will receive both financial and intellectual investment from the U.S. incubator. “I think the Hong Kong Tesla company is very inventive, they are doing something nobody has tried. Inventing a product that helps dogs learn more and communicate with their owners seems impossible, but by using technology there is always a way,” said Steve Hoffman, founder of Founders Space.

“It is not important if it [the invention] works, what matters is that they are innovative, which is the goal of my company — encouraging people to do what others can’t do, even if the idea seems crazy.”

“Qianhai is giving opportunities for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to easily enter the Chinese market, which is extremely valuable,” he added. “China now has become the number one partner that we have worked with. So, in addition to the offices we opened in other Chinese cities, hopefully, by the end of this year we will add a new one here in Shenzhen.”
