The event took place at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E-hub) and was initiated by the Qianhai Authority, the Shenzhen Youth Federation, and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. With its characteristic concept of “Hong Kong people, Hong Kong flavor, and Hong Kong-style services,” the E-hub is committed to providing a nurturing space for start-ups from Hong Kong and Macao.

Since being established, the E-hub has incubated 1,395 entrepreneurial teams, including 974 from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas, with 71 evolving into national high-tech enterprises. Going forward, the E-hub aims to further promote cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong and establish itself as an entrepreneurial incubation platform with greater international influence.

At the E-hub, participants gained an in-depth understanding of Qianhai’s innovative entrepreneurial environment, preferential tax policies, and office rental subsidies. Notably, office rent priced at 1 yuan per square meter per month and a 15% cap on individual and corporate tax rates received particular attention.

Russian expat Vlad Sheshalevich, who previously established his own company in his home country, praised the 1-yuan office rent policy, expressing his intention to consider starting another business here in China.

Additionally, many participants from Hong Kong noted that the policies of Qianhai and the E-hub for Hong Kong entrepreneurs inspired them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and indicated they would continue to monitor relevant policies in Qianhai.

After the visit, attendees took a group photo at the E-hub, capturing their first encounter with Qianhai’s innovative environment. They then proceeded to the pickleball court. This emerging sport, which combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, quickly bonded the participants with its simple and easy-to-learn nature. After professional coaches explained the rules and led warm-up matches, participants formed teams to compete, demonstrating seamless cooperation in net volleys and baseline shots, which elicited cheers from the crowd.

During the exchange session, attendees engaged in spirited discussions about potential future collaborations. Dourka Oumaima, from Morocco, stated, “Through this event, I made many friends. Additionally, this is my first time in Qianhai. The modern high-rise buildings here and the convenience of facilities indicate that Qianhai embodies a promising future.”

The event not only provided a platform for international talent to connect and interact but also further promoted Qianhai’s innovative, entrepreneurial environment.

The "HiQianhai" event series is sponsored by the Qianhai International Cooperation Center and organized by EyeShenzhen. The event is held regularly on the first Saturday of each month, covering multiple themes such as education, healthcare, sports, music, food, innovation and entrepreneurship, handicrafts, and more. Since its launch in May 2024, it has attracted over 600 international participants, becoming a hallmark that highlights Qianhai’s international atmosphere. The "HiQianhai" event series has opened a new chapter in promoting regional international cooperation and exchange.
