Approximately 100 representatives of various business associations from China's Hong Kong and Singapore, along with local and overseas enterprises, visited Qianhai on February 21 to gain in-depth insights into its development and potential business opportunities, both in Qianhai and throughout the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Major associations included the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce Qianhai, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI), and the Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong).

The representatives learned about Qianhai’s development planning and recent achievements at the Qianhai Exhibition Hall, inspected several entrepreneurial projects at the Qianhai E-hub, and explored applications of the Internet of Things at Tuya Smart, a Qianhai-based enterprise.

During an exchange luncheon, attendees discussed topics such as technological innovation, financial services, and youth entrepreneurship while exploring collaboration opportunities.

Wang Shourui, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and director of the Qianhai Authority, attended the luncheon. Wang stated that Qianhai, a vital platform for cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, has always adhered to its mission of “with Hong Kong, for the mainland, and to the world.”
He emphasized that in the future, Qianhai will continue to provide high-quality services and support to enterprises in both regions and promote coordinated regional development between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, president of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Sun Wah Group, stated that the Chamber will actively serve as a bridge by promoting deeper cooperation between enterprises in Shenzhen and Hong Kong and helping the GBA reach a new level.
Kho Choon-keng, president of the SCCCI, and Lawrence Chia, president of Pico Far East Holdings Limited, said that Singaporean companies place great importance on collaborating with Shenzhen and Hong Kong. They added that they will further strengthen the coordinated development of all three regions in areas such as technological innovation and financial services.
Representatives from some overseas companies also highlighted that the trip was eye-opening and encouraged them to strengthen cooperation with companies in the GBA.
This event not only provided valuable communication opportunities for companies from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen, but also opened a new chapter for coordinated regional economic development among the three areas.
