A delegation of British entrepreneurs visited Shenzhen-based WeBank and Han's Laser on Oct. 30 to learn about the financial and advanced manufacturing industries in the expanded Qianhai area, according to Bao'an Daily. 

Thanks to the Qianhai Plan, the geographical scope of Qianhai has expanded significantly, growing from 14.92 square kilometers to 120.56 square kilometers. This expansion now includes the Shekou area and one-fifth of Bao'an District, primarily focusing on its coastal western regions.

WeBank is the online lender set up by Chinese internet giant Tencent. Han’s Laser is a global industrial laser technology leader.

Graham Davies from the British firm SendSpend said he had provided overseas settlement services for manufacturing firms in Bao’an for many years. When he set up the company in London, he hoped to serve more Chinese and British firms with cross-border settlement services.

His partner Tracy Andersson suggested that they are confident in the future development of Shenzhen’s expanded Qianhai area and expressed an interest in settling its office in the area.

Igor Tesinsky from the British enterprise Intelibonds was very confident that they could meet new clients and connect with more global partners in the expanded Qianhai. They have rich experience in international financial management and wealth management and have many successful cases.

Staff with Bao’an District Enterprise Service Center hoped to expand cooperation with British companies in the fields of finance, green economy, and artificial intelligence and Bao’an will provide quality services.
