On Oct. 13, the sixth edition of the HiQianhai event series took place in Qianhai, inviting about 20 expatriates to explore the high-quality, convenient, and international medical services available in the area.

The group began by visiting Qianhai’s first international community healthcare station, where they learned about specialty clinics and various treatment services that blend international and Hong Kong characteristics.

The International Talent Hub Community Healthcare Station, which officially opened on Dec. 5 of last year, is jointly operated by the Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Zone Hospital and the GBA Healthcare Group. By introducing top-tier general medical teams from Hong Kong, the station provides high-quality, Hong Kong-style medical services to residents from Hong Kong, Macao, and international visitors. The station integrates resources from general practice, specialized care, traditional Chinese medicine, rehabilitation, nursing, and dentistry to offer comprehensive, sustainable, and international healthcare services.

Following this, the group visited Shenzhen Qianhai Taikang Hospital, where they participated in a healthcare lecture. They learned about the prevention and treatment of common diseases, such as strokes and oral injuries, as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). At the hospital, the guests experienced oral examinations, skin assessments, and traditional Chinese therapies, including moxibustion, cupping, and massage, which received high praise from the participants.

Natia Guguchia, from Georgia, shared, “I learned so much about stroke prevention, which is really helpful. We also had CPR training, which is great and everyone should know how to do it. Furthermore, the medical staff is very nice and friendly, and they speak fluent English, which is really helpful for those who don’t speak Chinese.”

Maya Gulan, from Serbia, remarked, “The massage therapy was a very good experience, and the doctor told me that I won’t have any pain starting tomorrow. We all sit for very long hours, so this is something we should do regularly.”

Shenzhen Qianhai Taikang Hospital, officially opened on Aug. 9, is a comprehensive international hospital designed according to Grade 3A hospital standards under the collaboration between the Qianhai Authority and Taikang Insurance Group. The hospital partners with institutions like Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which ranks second in comprehensive strength in the U.S., and is committed to rapidly establishing a high-quality, efficient international medical service system. It is also striving to become a benchmark for international medical services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The hospital maintains high standards in construction and operation, attracting nearly 50 leading professionals across various disciplines and offering around 50 clinical and medical technical departments to provide comprehensive international medical services.

The HiQianhai series of activities, as an international brand event connecting various institutions within Qianhai, is held regularly on the first Saturday of each month. To date, six editions have been conducted with over 350 participants, gaining significant attention and recognition from friends in various countries. This sixth edition focuses on medical services that address the practical needs of expats, helping them better understand Qianhai’s international medical service system and further enhancing the area’s reputation and appeal.

Looking ahead, Qianhai will pursue more innovative reforms in international medical services, accelerate the development of its international medical service cluster, and continuously enhance its capabilities, providing superior medical services for its growth and open development while striving to create a world-class business environment.
