The Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport will open its Zhongshan Terminal in conjunction with the opening of the Shenzhong Link (Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link), scheduled at the end of June, to enhance service for travelers on the west bank of the Pearl River. These developments will bring Zhongshan into the one-hour transport circle of Shenzhen.

When open, the Shenzhong Link will cut the trip between Shenzhen and Zhongshan to 30 minutes, and it is expected to promote exchanges between the two cities and aid in economic development.

Located at the Zhongshan Expo Center, the Zhongshan Terminal is equipped with check-in counters and ticket dispensers and offers luggage transport services. From the terminal, travelers can take shuttle buses to the Shenzhen airport — the Shenzhong Link will reduce the trip from two hours to 55 minutes.

A total of 72 shuttle buses will transport travelers between the Zhongshan Terminal and the Shenzhen airport when the link opens. Shuttles will pick up passengers from 3:10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Zhongshan Expo Center and between 7 a.m. and 4 a.m. at the Shenzhen airport, with the buses departing every 30 to 40 minutes.

“The Zhongshan Terminal is complete, and tickets will go on sale soon,” said Liang Xiyuan, deputy marketing manager of Shenzhen Pengxiang Travel and Transport Co.

Additionally, the airport is accelerating the construction of the Jiangmen Terminal — located at the northeastern corner of the Jiangmen Boulevard and Wuyi Road intersection — to further extend its services on the western bank of the Pearl River.

The tourism and transport authorities in Jiangmen have announced plans to launch shuttle buses connecting Jiangmen and the Shenzhen airport with the opening of the Shenzhong Link.

Departing from Jiangmen, these buses will run every hour from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m, with the journey estimated to take one hour.

Buses from the Shenzhen airport to Jiangmen will run every hour between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
