The Qianhai International Neighborhood — a vibrant, global nexus dedicated to nurturing international connections, sharing resources, and fostering collaborative innovation — was officially unveiled during a launch ceremony held at the Qianhai International Talent Hub in Qianhai on May 8.
The Qianhai International Neighborhood launch ceremony attracted not only expats living and working in the city but also representatives from key international schools, international medical institutions, international organizations, and companies.

Cao Saixian, director general of the Shenzhen Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, commended Qianhai’s remarkable achievement in building a high-level opening-up hub over the years. Cao also stated that she expects the Qianhai International Neighborhood to contribute to accelerating the building of a modern and international metropolis.

Liang Ke, deputy secretary of the CPC Working Committee in Qianhai, said in a speech that Qianhai has implemented six high-level standards to build the Qianhai International Neighborhood that aim to further improve Qianhai’s international business environment and offer new models for the city’s construction of international blocks.

The Qianhai International Neighborhood covers an area of about 65,000 square meters and includes one public square and eight buildings such as the Qianhai International Talent Hub, the Qianhai Building, and the Hony Building.
ITH+SPACE and HiQianhai brand activities were simultaneously launched during the ceremony.
ITH+SPACE, located on the second and third floors of the Qianhai International Talent Hub, covers nearly 4,000 square meters. It was designed to host international events held in Qianhai.
HiQianhai is a complementary brand event series that takes place on the first Saturday of every month. The next HiQianhai event is a parent-child event, themed on international education, that will be held on June 1, International Children’s Day.

Carrie Cameron, head of prep at The King’s School Shenzhen, said that “It’s such a gift to us to be a part of such an innovative up and coming area that really embraces everything global including foreigners, and all of that is just really wonderful.”
Catherine Donnelly, head of lower school of Harrow International School, Shenzhen Qianhai, said that the school has been very lucky and have full support from Qianhai.
“We are very proud to be part of the international community and hope to collaborate on our journey to success,” said Donnelly.
Priyasha Sharma, one of the experience officers from India, said that she was honored to receive the title.
“Shenzhen is my home and I strongly believe there will be more opportunities offered in Qianhai for expats.”
Before the launch ceremony, a captivating session of classic literature readings immersed the audience in a world of literary wonders, with Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassadors eloquently reciting pieces from their countries in their native languages.
