During the Qingming Festival holiday (Thursday to Saturday), the checkpoints are expected to see about 820,000 travelers cross the border in average each day. The peak for inbound travelers is expected to arrive April 4 and the peak for outbound travelers is expected to arrive April 6, according to the Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.
On Friday, Shenzhen checkpoints witnessed 882,000 travelers cross the border, a single-day record since the border reopening after the pandemic.
On Friday, a total of 1,000 travelers took trains from Hong Kong and gathered at the Shenzhen North Railway Station for group travel to Guilin by taking G4018, the first tourism train for the Qingming Festival travel.
